Their Wedding Story
Some wedding days just have a little extra magic.
Natalie and Ty's wedding at Stone Briar Farm in De Soto, Kansas was one of those days. From heartfelt private vows to a joyful celebration surrounded by family and friends, every part of the day reflected who they are as a couple.
When I joined them through Wedding Day Management, they had already done the hard work of planning their wedding. My role was to bring all of those pieces together, coordinate with their vendor team, manage the timeline, and make sure they could simply enjoy the day they had worked so hard to create.
The forecast leading up to the wedding, however, had other ideas.
Rain was expected for much of the day.
But Natalie wasn't ready to give up on her dream of an outdoor ceremony. In one of my favorite wedding stories to date, she jokingly decided to hire the famous "Etsy Witch" to keep the rain away.
Whether it was luck, timing, or a little wedding day magic, the rain held off, and they were able to have the beautiful outdoor ceremony they had envisioned.
I still smile every time I think about it.

The Details
Every wedding begins with the little details that tell a couple's story.
From the invitation suite to sentimental keepsakes tucked into the groom's attire, every item reflected Natalie and Ty's personalities and the people who helped shape their lives.

First Look & Private Vows
If I had to choose one moment that stood out most from Natalie and Ty's wedding, it would be their private vows.
Before guests arrived, they found a quiet place to be together. There was laughter. There were tears. There were moments of silence where neither of them needed to say anything at all.
As a wedding coordinator, I love protecting moments like these. The timeline matters, but creating space for couples to simply be together before the day begins is something I'll always prioritize.
It set the tone for the rest of the day.

Ceremony
After watching the forecast all week, seeing guests take their seats outside felt like a celebration all on its own.
The ceremony was exactly what Natalie had hoped for.
Surrounded by family, friends, and the Kansas countryside, Natalie and Ty exchanged vows under clear skies despite what the weather had predicted just the day before.
Whether we give credit to good timing or the Etsy Witch is still up for debate.

Portraits
Stone Briar Farm offers so many beautiful locations for portraits, from the white barn to the peaceful swing overlooking the property.
These portraits perfectly captured who Natalie and Ty are together. Joyful, relaxed, and completely themselves.

Reception
Once the formalities were over, it was time to celebrate.
The reception was filled with laughter, heartfelt toasts, and a packed dance floor that stayed full well into the evening.
One of my favorite things about seeing a reception unfold is knowing the couple isn't thinking about what comes next. They're simply enjoying every moment with the people they love.
That is exactly how it should be.

Planning Tip from Teresa
One of my favorite decisions Natalie and Ty made was choosing to exchange private vows before the ceremony.
Whether or not you decide to do a first look, I always encourage couples to consider creating intentional space for just the two of you on your wedding day.
The day moves quickly. Having a few uninterrupted minutes together before the celebration begins allows you to slow down, take a deep breath, and soak in what is about to happen.
Years from now, those quiet moments are often the ones couples remember most.
